Happy St. Patty's Day All!

My favorite Holiday of the year is here again! In all honesty, this year, I was feeling a tad under the weather - fighting back a head cold! Bosco was also feeling a tad off too! To make things even more interesting, I made Covid booster shot appointments for both of us right before we went out to the Irish pubs. So forgive these rather lame Holiday photos! We had a few pints, listened to some good irish toe tapping tunes and saw the young dancers do a few jigs.

TASMANIA has always had a meanacing sound to me, probably because of the famed Tasmania Devil! So it was a nice surprise to find such a lovely, friendly place. Hobart is the capital of the island state, and is Australia's second oldest city, blending colonial history with dramatic natural scenery. The population of greater Hobart is roughly 250,000. The city sits between the sparkling Derwent River and the towering slopes of Mount Wellington , making for a picturesque waterfront.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA on Saturday March 14th was a bonus day for us due to port adjustments we had to make with our New Zealand itinerary. It turned into a cousin reunion for me. I got to spend the day catching up with my 2nd cousins Joan and Paul Murphy . Paul's mom Sarah Murphy was my grandmother Anne Timothy's sister. I met Joan and Paul last time I was in Melbourne, in 2016. Joan and Paul have had some rough times with health lately and they recently downsized their large family home down to a compact 2 bedroom cottage, within a mile from their son Paul's home.
