Metro Manila is a massive urban jungle with a population of between 18 to 20 Million. Makati City, specifically the the neighborhood of Poblacion and P. Burgos Street is the heart of night life scene, this red light district is heavily concentrated with bars, pubs and go-go venues. I saw a Get your Guide VIP tour of some of the best clubs offered and Bosco and I, decided to check it out. When we arrived at the first venue, we found five other shipmates! We run into ship people everywhere! It's kinda nice, The Community is what we love about this lifestyle!

Our meeting spot was 9:30pm at BOURBON NEW ORLEANS, a fun bar with a good house band, that played 80's rock covers. We spent the first hour here, with VIP booth seating and a complimentary shot. Our hostess, Jiesel, with Epic Tours, does not look what we expected on a late night tour but she told us she makes a good living at it! The Band took request - Sweet Child of Mine was a big hit! Next, we walked up the street, running into 3 more ship friends at the FILLING STATION, which is a nostalgic USA Diner and bar.

Next we went to Neon Nights to dance! This place was my favorite - nice air conditioning and great music!

Then next door to RINGSIDE for Midget Boxing. Not my favorite but can check off my list!

Our last stop was ROYAL, an upscale night club with good music but lots of solo males with flock of girls, Go-go's, confetti dropping from the ceiling & bottle service. Fun night with friends! Alas, we were back to the Ship by 3 am!

The Intramuros section of Manila, Philippines is the historic walled core, of this Capital City. Today, the surrounding stone walls are ringed by a golf course, in lieu of the moat from long ago. Below shows comparison from rendering 300 years ago, under Spanish Colonization to Today. Many of the historic buildings, churches, fort and prison remain. Kimberly and I walked it for over 4 hours, and we saw maybe a quarter of it. We sadly gave up due to the heat, humidity and our exhausted feet and missed the Corpus Christi procession to the Manila Cathedral with the Bishop, by just a half hour! If only we had known ahead of time!

If you read my first post about Coron you might remember I mentioned a Funeral or Wake I noticed roadside, coming back from an excursion. Well I mentioned it to other residents, to see if anyone else had seen, gotten a photo or had insights, and what I learned was fascinating - so I wanted to share here!

I am so blessed and lucky to have found such a great group of friends and to be do this amazing adventure! Today was fabulous, because of the quality time I got to spend with these individuals. We had no rain and some rare sunshine! Wave swells slowed our journey and some of our snorkeling energies, but I think everyone was happy at days end! Psalms Tours was again super flexible and provided outstanding services!
