On way into Mendenhall glacier park we saw some tourist plunging in the icy waters and ran into several other ship people who had traveled up here, it's about 12 miles up from Port.

Sadly, we had to head back towards town for me to get back on the Ship, but first we did a drive by of the famous Govenor's Mansion in Juneau to see if " you can see Russia from my front door". A line made famous by Tina Fey on SNL imitating then Governor Sarah Palin during her vice presidency run, with John McCain. You cannot see Russia! Area surrounded by mountain ranges.
