I am so blessed and lucky to have found such a great group of friends and to be do this amazing adventure! Today was fabulous, because of the quality time I got to spend with these individuals. We had no rain and some rare sunshine! Wave swells slowed our journey and some of our snorkeling energies,  but I think everyone was happy at days end! Psalms Tours was again super flexible and provided outstanding services!

Above (L to R ) Bosco, Me, Bob, Sarah, Delia, Terri, Ron, Lori, Holly and Sherrie, at the boat docks, before we set out, on our all day tour. Because our ride to the islands was so lengthy, I suggested we play one of my favorite games to pass the time. Everyone thinks of one thing interesting thing about themselves, that hopefully no one else on the boat knows. Since we didn't have paper and pen to write them down, we improvised with my phones note section, passing it around. Then, I randomly read them out loud, and we guess whose belongs to each. This group really dug deep and had some amazing shares!! I loved the insight we got into each others past. I won't forget these stories either, because once we revealed who did it, we got all the juicy details that went with the stories! We had tales of murder, kidnapping, tv & modeling careers, sporting greats and of course total mortification!

The first island we stopped at is Ditaytayan Sandbar, unfortunately it was nearing high tide when we arrived so alot of the sandbar was covering with water. But the water was crystal clear and the sand golden, a very pretty spot. The best snorkeling was on the windward side of the sandbar, so only a few of us snorkeled the reef here, the rest of us enjoyed a dip in the calmer side of the waters.

Next, we went a short distance to Malcapuya Island Resort, another beautiful spot and my favorite of the day.  We had time to relax, have a super tasty and filling lunch provided by Psalms, swing a little and chill and chat in the water together.

At 2;30 we left the beach and boarded the boat for our last stop of the day. This ride took about an hour and lunch and the sun seemed to lul some of our gang into gentle slumbers!

Our last spot was Atwayan Coral Garden which was a nice fairly shallow reef and wall section that traveled deeper hosting some nice coral knooks and crannies.

We decided to do something different and unique today, perfect for a rainy afternoon, we took a pearl class to make some jewelry! Delia, Terri, Suen and I all went to Pick a Pearl Jewelry Store on the main street of Coron . We each picked a frozen giant clam shell, that had been put in a fresh water farm to develop cultured pearls. The bounty of each shell was random, we averaged 28 to 30 varying size pearls and the colors were also random. I got a mix of white, pink, lavender and pale gold pearls. Terri went first and below is the step by step process.

Due to stormy weather, we got an additional four days in Coron, Philippines since our intended destination at Boracay Island was an anchorage where our tenders would not be able to operate safely in the projected wave swells. No worries, we had been to Boracay before and there was lots to do in Coron . Many residents had good reviews of a local restaurant called The Lobster King, so we went with good friends to celebrate my buddy Stacy's Birthday!
