This is my second time here in Cairns and we did so many excursions last time: the Great Barrier Reef Snorkeling, Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Kuranda Skyrail & Scenic Railway and the Butterfly Sanctuary. I was happy to explore the City and try something new.

Above is the Cairns Public Esplanade Lagoon that runs right along the coast line and provides a Free safe swimming area since the waters, of the Coral Sea  are full of crocodiles and stringing jellyfish. The Port was a great in that we could walk right off the Ship and right into the heart of downtown. Tons of shops and restaurants and great open park space with nice murals, sculptural art and tile mosaics. Bosco & I walked around, did some shopping, got some supplies and had a nice dinner at Tokyo Dumplings.

Tully is a small sugar mill town about 2 hours south of Cairns and we traveled here with a group of about 20 other residents to go white water rafting in the Tully River at the Gorge in the National Park. It is the beginning of the wet season and the river was running at a high level, so the rapids were class 4 out of 5. We had some trepidation, but were excited for the adventure! OMG so much FUN!!

Bosco's Birthday Bash! How convenient that we were in a Port with a Wave Lagoon Pool just minutes away on Bosco's actual birth date, November 3rd.

AUSTRALIA marks our 6th Continent of this trip around the World! I visited Australia & New Zealand for the first time back in 2016, but we didn't make it to Darwin then - so I was excited to see this time.
